If a tree falls in the forest...

You know that saying "If a tree falls in the forest and nobody's around to hear it, does it make a sound?"

Well, more relevant and applicable to my life in the concrete jungle that is NYC, "if an associate is in the office until 5AM and doesn't send out an email, was that associate ever there that late/early?"

Let's just say...work. Has. Sucked. By the end of Tuesday "night," I had billed 42.8 hours.

Yes, I think there is an unwritten rule in existence: When working in the office at odd(erie) hours, one must leave behind some sort of evidence. Whether it's subtle, like an open Styrofoam take-out box left on one's desk from dinner (and better yet, next to it one from breakfast too), or more blatant, like an email broadcast to everyone in the office at 4:20 A.M., you have a duty to make sure the rest of the world hears you roar! Then again, you've got all those billable hours entered carefully into a database somewhere, which ought to count for something...

Wait--is that 42.8 hours starting on Monday? Is that possible?
