What kind of lottery is this?

So the lottery results are in for our seminar classes for next quarter. For the second quarter in a row, I have not lotteried into ANYTHING. How screwed up is that?

And I see that some people who lotteried into the ultra competitive Posner, J.'s class actually won a second seminar, too.

WTF

That means they got both their first and second choices.

Is it just me or does this system make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE AT ALL??????????

Needless to say, I am pretty starring disgruntled.

(And a tiny part of me is screaming "Bring back E.Pitt! At least with his system I was able to get into a damn class!")

And even if you couldn't, he would go out of his way to help you.

It still pisses me off when I remember the asstastic way Levmore canned him. He's one of the meanest people on the planet.

I channeled a lot of my frustration into an angry letter to Bulgari.

It was quite cathartic.

It reminds me of the kind of lottery Shirley Jackson would write about

Sorry, but a registrar who did no work, kept all of our grades on a single excel sheet on his damn laptop (which, if lost before uploading to university server, would cause really big problems), never posted a finals schedule or class schedule until the last possible minute, and who was constantly drunk does not deserve any praise. He was a nice guy, but I'd rather have an intelligent, dilligent one in the registrar's office.

I agree that E.Pitt was incompetent.

Didn't mean to imply that he wasn't.

Whatever he was on, though, worked for my lotterying! :)

You didn't really want to do those long seminar reading assignments or write another big paper. You're a 3L, so I have three words for you: take home exams.

But I've heard take-homes are really brutal!

(I've never done a take-home before.)

Have I been misled???
