Not since elementary school...

We're looking up Puerto Rico hotels, and my friend just described one as being "on an isthmus."

ISTHMUS.

I swear I haven't heard that word since elementary school.

After poking fun at her for saying it, she argued that "it's a common word!"

Awesome.

Wow.

It's been so long since I've heard that word, I don't remember what it means.

It looks funny too. Now I'm trying to think of nouns that start with the letter "I."

I, I'm, island, illumination, Indian, influenza, ichthus, isotope, identity, um... inbreeder?

Is it me or are "i" words weird?

Sadly, that was my 4th grade spelling bee foe. Until this day I'll never forget how to spell it, but I figured it sounds like Christmas so why not? Sadly, using it in a sentence didn't save me.

I don't get it, why is your nickname a narrow strip of land?
