I've signed up for an evening class, which I figured would give me something to do with my copious amounts of free time.
I had my first Introduction to Drawing lesson today!
It was fun. I enjoyed it. Doing non-law-related stuff was awesome.
Fingerpainting, here I come!

What does it say about a person when they can't hear (or read) the word copious without giggling?
What did you draw? I hope you'll be sharing some sketches with your devoted followers.
We did this thing called blind contour drawing where we study an object (in this case, we did a shoe (tassled loafer) and a scroll saw), find a starting point, place our pencils on our pads, and move our pencils as our eyes move along the lines of the object without looking at the paper or where our pencils are going. This lesson REALLY messed with my control-freak tendencies. Even so, it was really cool to see how the eye/brain translates the lines into motor actions. Let's just say that, once I start drawing things that are a little more recognizable, I might post some of my forays into the right-brained world. :)
