I had a similar thought when I was 15 and my grandfather told me that he married my grandmother when she was 15!
At my age, my mom was married and had a baby too. The partner I work for thinks she's a "young mom". It's weird how, in our profession, women who look 60 have 10 year old children.
Somewhat related to penguin's comment, my mom recently visited me here in LA. Every Single Person I introduced her to said they thought she was my sister. She got a kick out of it and thought it was great/nice of them to say. I'm stuck here thinking "fuck, how old must *I* look?" :P

At my age, my mom had 2. And we were already in elementary school.
And I am now the only unengaged unmarried woman in the entire extended family. Swwweet!
